Purpose of the project:
In order to develope ecotourism and increase the population of the Far Eastern leopard, we designed a project of a wildlife park "Leopards on Gamov" on the Gamov Peninsula, without harming the environment and landscape of the Peninsula. The park is located on the territory of the deer nursery and borders of the Far Eastern Marine Reserve.
DESIGN SOLUTION
Prior to design, we performed a large set of engineering surveys: engineering-geodetic, engineering-geological, engineering-environmental, engineering-hydrometeorological, and an aerial survey of the area from a height of 400m.
Basing on the results of the engineering and hydrogeological surveys, we developed projects of sanitary protection zones for water wells to provide employees and visitors of the Park with household and pure drinking water.
Also 120 wells were drilled with a depth of 3 to 4 meters to install the fence of the territory, 45 km long, 120
The park is divided into several zones:
- Entrance zone with an administrative complex and parking for visitors.
- Recreational zone with guest houses, bathhouses, and an artificial pond with a walking area - "bird's lake".
- Exposition zone with a fenced area for reindeer.
PROJECT FEATURES:
-
The park is designed with the maximum preservation of the existing terrain and environment. The protection of areas disturbed by construction is included in the project.
-
High accessibility: You may reach the park by your own car, by bus or by foot from the Andreevka village.
-
There are many rivers and streams in the park. To avoid the consequences of river flooding during the flood season, we designed seven pipe bridges and one wooden footbridge in the recreational area at the crossings of rivers and roads.
-
We included up to 17 km of eco-trails in the project. While walking along them tourists will be able to observe animals in their natural conditions and do some photo-hunting. The trails can be used for eco-educational tours for children and adults, as well as hiking tours.
